This image showed up a day or two ago on the Instagramz, then quickly became the topic of Facederp conversation on other social media outlets. It would appear to be the much awaited VG3 from Raven Concealment Systems, and most of us figured it’s going to grip your gun by the girth (that’s what she said) of the light. The VG2 is a great minimalist system, but it’s useless to a combatant who prefers to carry a WML (which many of our execrable minions do). The best part about this is that by hooking onto the light, the holster will provide pretty serious modularity. Use a TLR on your S&W M&P? You’ll be able to holster most of your other guns using that (or an identical) TLR. X300 on a Glock? Same principle applies. Rock an InForce APL on your HiPoint? Clear and safe the weapon and beat yourself to death with it.
We reached out to RCS this morning for some details about MSRP, release date, etc. but haven’t gotten a response yet. One RCS employee is practicing to be “Laconic Santa with Forest Whitaker Eye”, one is pretending to be a Dementor at a local Cracker Barrel and one is sounding out the bigger words found in a certain classic Maurice Sendak children’s novel. (We won’t tell you who they are, but their names rhyme with Chappy, Goerlich and Wilson.)
